Today, there are approx 50,000 gaming machines in the Czech Republic, but Pavel Kala, Systems Architect at Boss Media, believes Synot’s new IVT terminals are poised to outshine the aging competition: ”The conventional machines in place are mostly based on mechanical reels. They offer little game variation and no opportunity to change games. During the first half of 2007, Synot Holding showed a profit before tax of CZK 234 million, which represents a 40 per cent increase compared to the same period of the previous year. Total half-year turnover totalled CZK 3,656 million.
